Peter Boat
The Peter Boat’s unusual name was a nick name given to the boats that the enterprising fishermen were using for ferrying passengers between the Saxon London cathedrals of St Paul’s on the South ban and St Peters by what is now Westminster. They are characterised by a wet fish well amidships for keeping the catch alive until sold at market.
The last known example was broken up over 150 years ago. After much research, we designed and built two replicas one at 18ft and one at 22ft. They are now in our collection.
